Bowls Tournaments this Autumn
This October and November, we’re delighted to offer you a range of inclusive bowls experiences during our midweek breaks. We’ve created these special activities just for you, and guess what? They’re absolutely free!
However, as these sessions are very popular, we have limited spaces available. So, to ensure you don ’t miss out on this friendly competition and fun, please remember to register your interest in bowls at the time of booking.
Indoor Bowls Tournaments
Enjoy free-to-enter indoor bowls tournaments at both Hopton-on-Sea and Five Lakes throughout the Autumn.
Format:
• Teams of four
• Three guaranteed games (up to 90 mins each)
• Knockout matches for top performing teams
• Teams will typically play four round robin games of up to 90 minutes per game.
Pro Coaching Breaks
Exclusive to Five Lakes, these breaks are designed to enhance your game, with the ever popular Andy Thomson MBE delivering fun and educational coaching sessions. You’ll also enjoy stories from inside the game, relaxed tournament sessions and competitions as well as a Q&A session with Andy, a 3-time World Indoor Bowls Champion and true legend of the sport. Please note, these breaks do not feature an Indoor Bowls Tournament.
Carpet Bowls Tournaments
Discover the thrill of Carpet Bowls, a captivating twist on traditional indoor bowls! A specially designed mat, measuring roughly 30 feet by 6 feet, offers an exciting challenge for all. The game features smaller, biased woods, perfect for skillfully circumventing the strategic 18-inch circular block at the centre of the mat. Carpet Bowls breaks are exclusive to Hopton-on-Sea.

Short Mat Bowls Tournaments
This variation of carpet bowls is played on a specially designed 45-foot long and 6-foot wide mat, with a block in the middle and ditches at both ends, adding an extra layer of excitement and strategy to your game. Embrace this friendly competition as we bring people together through the joy of this fantastic sport.

First visit of many
Wow why haven't I been here before? This place has it all in abundance. Great all inclusive food and drink. Activities all day long and high class evening shows. We liked it so much we booked again for next year before we left. The staff were extraordinary and friendly. The entertainment staff are so talented and have you smiling and laughing all day long. We also did activities we have never done before such as archery and rally karts.

Simply the best
Having stayed with one of Potters' competitors for the last five years and noting their standard are sinking drastically, we thought we would try Potters Resorts on recommendation. What can I say but simply fantastic. Everyone who works at Potters does the name proud. It's unfair to single anyone out for individual credit because they all are everything you need to make the break memorable. The rooms, the food, the shows, everything is simply the best. Thank you one and all for making our break celebrating my wife's birthday one of great memories. We will be returning next year; as we loved it so much we rebooked straight away!

The best holiday in the UK
We visited last year and were overwhelmed with the quality and service they provide. This year was no different. From the restaurant staff to the bars, the entertainment staff and the shows... everything is at such a high standard and everyone is friendly and so helpful. The food is second to none and it's advised to start the diet after the break! You want for nothing and there is always something to do whatever time of day. Well worth the cost of the holiday as I didn't need to use my wallet at all. We can't wait to return soon.
