Planning the perfect Christmas video is no mean feat. The task this year was that of Potters Resorts’ videographer Jaydn Johnson, and we caught up with him as he finished his final cut.
With over 800 team members, back office departments, operational departments, split shifts, and two resorts to cover, the special Christmas video currently adorning your social screens is weeks in the making.
“It’s certainly a logistical challenge! We had a timetable scheduled by the half hour for a whole two weeks. But with two busy resorts, things crop up. As much as you plan, it never quite goes as you imagined! Then it’s back in the studio for a third week to edit.”

Plans for the new year?
If that festive message wasn’t enough Potters for you, this special message from Jack Jenkins to all of your doorsteps went viral in early December.
Jaydn grabbed his camera as Jack visited Tara Scott, Potters Resorts’ Social Media Manager, on a brisk December evening.
Managing Director, Mike Scott, also excelled in a cameo role, shouting “Give ’em a pound and tell ’em to clear off” from the kitchen.
With over half a million views, our joyful take on ‘that’ scene from Love Actually is definitely worth a watch.
“I’m proud of the outcome, especially how Potters fans and beyond have received the video. It was a fun project turning Mike & Tara’s house into a film set, taking an iconic scene and recreating it with a Potters twist.”
A special visit this Christmas
Jaydn was also on hand to capture a special trip to James Paget University Hospital this festive season.
Twitch and James R Hearn donned their best Christmas outfits (and beard lights of course) and went along with plenty of goodies for the NHS staff to say thank you.
There was also a visit to Ward 10, to hand out presents to the children who were spending time in hospital this festive season.
